About Eboni

First, she was
the client.

Acting and modelling in California meant changing her look for one audition after another. Eboni had an extension stylist she trusted. When she moved to Houston and could no longer find the same care, she decided to learn the craft herself.

She trained at Lancaster Beauty School, earned her cosmetology license, and added a trichology certification from Dr. Carrie Williams. Learning to read the scalp became as important as learning to place the hair.

Today, Hair Divas Inc. carries her own line of hair. The experience that brought her to the chair still shapes how she works: listen closely, be honest about what will suit the client, and protect the hair she came in with.

  • Burbank’s Best Hair Three years running: 2018, 2019 and 2020.
  • Trichology Certified by Dr. Carrie Williams. The scalp gets as much care as the length.
  • Wigs and men’s units Wig Mastery certified with Kurt Cobain of L.A., and certified in male hair units by Wade the Barber.
  • In the press Featured in Voyage LA.

The work

The blend is
the signature.

Soft waves, bold color, and length that belongs to the person wearing it.

A smiling client with wavy hair past the shoulders, black at the root and red at the ends

“Your hair is your crown,” she says. She wants every woman who leaves her chair to feel empowered, confident, and ready to command any room she walks into.

The install

The hair underneath comes first.

Protecting the integrity of your own hair is always her priority. She will not do a service she knows will cause damage or problems down the line, even if you ask for it.

Her clients trust her to steer them toward the result that looks best and keeps their own hair healthy.

She talks you through it before anything goes in.

The teacher

She still says what Mrs. Dags taught her.

Her most influential teacher was Mrs. Dags at Lancaster Beauty School, who drilled proper sanitation and disinfection into her. Eboni carries those habits behind the chair every day, along with a line she has never forgotten: you don’t wash hair, you wash clothes. You shampoo hair.

Now she is the teacher, with her own two-day, hands-on certification for stylists who want to learn extensions properly.

Finished

Hair that looks like it grew there.

From waist-length blonde to dark, face-framing layers: four finishes, each with its own character.

The one she’s proudest of

Frankie calls
her Mama.

Eboni has done Frankie’s hair since she was fourteen. Over the years, a client became family. For Frankie, extensions came to mean more than length: they gave her the confidence to wear her hair without feeling she had to explain it.

“Today, she wears 30-inch extensions that look completely natural. People compliment her hair all the time, and when she tells them it’s extensions, they’re genuinely shocked.”

Eboni, on Frankie

“That transformation means a lot to me,” she says, “not just because of how beautiful the hair looks, but because I know what it took to get her there.”

What Eboni works in

The method follows
the woman.

Tape-ins, wefts, individual strands, or something you can take off at home. Eboni starts with the hair you have and the way you live, then helps you choose.

01

Tape-ins

Illustration of tape-in wefts placed around a section of hair

Pre-taped wefts sit on either side of a section of natural hair. Eboni checks the placement and plans regular re-taping with each client.

02

Hand-tied wefts
& beaded rows

A weft sewn onto a beaded foundation adds fullness across a row. Placement, weight and upkeep are part of the consultation.

03

I-tips & micro-links

Illustration of individual hair strands attached with small beads

Individual strands are attached with small beads, without adhesive. Eboni considers the natural hair and the way the client likes to wear it before choosing the method.

04

Sew-ins & machine wefts

Wefts can be sewn onto a braided base or secured with a braidless foundation. The right approach starts with the condition of the hair underneath.

Eboni also works with clip-ins, halos and toppers. She’ll talk through the options in a consultation.
