Before & after

A glimpse at client transformations.

Drag any of them. Left is what walked in. Right is what walked out. All of them her own clients, in her own chair.

Waist-length, from a head that had given up. She came in broken off at the shoulder.

Copper wreckage to a cherry gloss. Most artists turn this job away.

Grown-out blonde, rebuilt into ice. Banded roots and fried ends, taken all the way to platinum.

Platinum, doubled. Twice the length, and still icy at the very ends, which is the hard part.

The work

The work speaks first.

Every photograph below walked out of her chair on Sunset Blvd.

Jet-black hair worn poker straight to the waist, over a rose satin cape

“Every day, every guest is different and unique in their own way. That's the beauty of my profession.”

Mariam

Jet black, carried to the waist and cut to one line. She came in with a chin-length bob.

Poker straight, all the way down, and you cannot tell where her own hair ends.

A full head of keratin bonds, photographed with the top section still clipped up
The install

The photograph most artists never post.

An install caught halfway, the top section still clipped away. A hundred and fifty strands, every one placed by hand.

You are meant to see the hair, never the work. This is the work.

Rows this neat are also why her clients' own hair comes through it fine.

Long platinum blonde waves worn down the back, over a pale blue jumper

Platinum, held platinum from root to end. Lifted, toned and blended in a single afternoon.

Dimensional brunette hair curled loosely, with caramel ribbons through the mid-lengths

Caramel ribboned through a dark base. It moves like it grew that way.

The house look

Length, colour, movement.

Three things women come to Hollywood for. Whichever one is in your head, she has built it before.

Icy platinum blonde worn long and waved
Deep brunette worn poker straight and glossy
Dark hair with full bouncing volume and movement

Why Mariam has the Los Angeles seat

The name Hollywood keeps to itself.

We go looking ourselves, city by city, for the artists we would send a friend to. Los Angeles has an extension specialist on every block. It still did not take us long.

She began in Europe, took a second licence in California, and has spent fifteen years building a reputation one impossible head at a time. She is who the industry sends its hardest cases to.

In 2024 the industry honoured her at its own awards, the BELLAMI Hair Extension Awards in Las Vegas, in front of a thousand specialists.

What she does is closer to sculpture than service. She reads a head of hair the way a couturier reads a body, then builds it.

The colour is hers too, and that is where her eye really shows. One artist, one vision, start to finish. It is why her clients stop being clients and turn into loyalists.

  • A master of every method Bonds, i-tips, tapes, wefts, flattracks, toppers, halos, combline. She works in all of them, so your hair gets the one that suits it.
  • Colour that looks like it grew there A colourist's eye on top of a master installer's hands. She lifts and tones every strand herself.
  • Recognised by her own industry Honoured at the 2024 BELLAMI Hair Extension Awards, the industry's own prize. Trained in Germany, then licensed again in California.
  • A private suite, by request only Her own room on Sunset Blvd. No front desk. No rotation. No assistant finishing what she started. Just Mariam, your hair, and as long as it takes.

Whatever your hair needs

She has already mastered it.

These are the four people choose between most often. She also works in braidless flattracks, toppers, halos and combline, and colours every one of them. Have a look, then let her tell you which one is yours.

K-tips & bonds

A row of keratin-tipped strands bonded at the roots

Individual strands bonded to your own hair. No row to hide, so ponytails are easy. 120 to 150 strands for a full head, and most of a day in the chair.

Best for
Updos, flexibility
Wear
About 12 weeks
From
$175 per 25 strands

Tape-ins

Tape-in wefts sandwiching a section of hair

Pre-taped wefts sandwiched around your own hair. The fastest way in and usually the cheapest, at 30 to 35 sandwiches for a full head. They show more in very fine hair.

Best for
Medium hair, first-timers
Move-up
Every 6–8 weeks
From
$160 per 10 sets

I-tips & microlinks

A row of silicone-lined beads closed onto sections of hair

Best for
Heat-shy hair, reuse
Move-up
Every 4 weeks
From
$150 per 25 strands

Beaded wefts & flattracks

A hand-tied weft sewn onto a bead row

A weft sewn onto a row of beads. The most hair added in the fewest hours, and the flattest against the scalp. Four or five tracks for a full head.

Best for
Volume, thick hair
Move-up
Weft 5–6 wks · flattrack 10–12
From
$450

Her clients

They never leave.

“Mariam is amazing. I've been going to her for like 5 years now, and honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair. She is an extension PRO, knows everything about every type of extensions, and gives great recommendations.”

A client of five years, in her own words

Five years with one artist, in a city that changes stylists like it changes restaurants.

4.9 stars across 42 reviews. Fifteen years of women who found her and stopped looking.

Book with Mariam

Sit in her chair.

It starts with a consultation. An hour in her suite, where she looks at your hair properly and tells you exactly what she would do with it. No hair goes in that day. You leave knowing the plan and the number.

She takes appointments by request only, Monday to Friday. One artist, one pair of hands.

Book your consultation

Salon Republic is a suite building — she is upstairs in 201, and there is no front desk, so book ahead instead of dropping in. Or text her directly on (818) 257-9627.
