Slay by Tay / San Jose, California
Unmistakably
yourself.
Tayviana brings a vivid sense of self to Slay by Tay: expressive color, dramatic extensions, and a beauty business with her personality all through it. Her invitation is personal, too. Bring the version of yourself you want to see.

02 / Before & after
The photographs show the change in the hair. Tay’s favorite part comes just after: the client’s first look in the mirror, when the idea she brought to the appointment is finally hers to wear.
03 / The world of Slay by Tay
Pink, leopard print, long dark waves. Tayviana brings a whole point of view into the frame.
There is playfulness in her portraits: the sunglasses, the birthday cake, the pleasure of putting a look together. She gives you someone to remember. Slay by Tay carries that same sense of authorship, with her personality as much a part of the business as the name above the chair.
That identity is deliberate. Tay creates her own marketing, and has learned that the strongest connections come from showing her work, her personality and the experience she gives her clients. She puts more faith in that honesty than in chasing every trend. It is a new-school approach to beauty: an artist letting people into her world, and making space for them to express their own.
Her creativity has somewhere concrete to go. Calico color brings three to five shades together in distinct sections. Color blocks make contrast part of the look. In extensions, one of her proudest transformations took a short bob to 24 inches of jet black. Tay’s chair has room for someone who wants a change you can see.
The point of view that matters most in the appointment belongs to the guest. Tay wants her to leave feeling “like the most elevated version of herself.” That last word matters. The hair can be longer, fuller, more dramatic; the idea of beautiful is still hers.
Tay also offers one-to-one education in consultation, cutting and styling, with material on business and mindset. Alongside five-plus years in extensions and her Bellami Professional and Hotheads certifications, teaching adds another dimension to Slay by Tay: a place to pass the craft on.
She first knew the excitement of extensions from the client’s chair. Today, she gets to help someone else find her own version of it.
“It is an amazing gift to build a career based on making others feel beautiful through my creativity and love for hair.”

04 / Behind the confidence
Trust gives a client room to be adventurous. Tay earns it by being specific about what the look will involve, and honest about what her natural hair can support.
The consultation covers your hair goals, routine, color match and maintenance expectations. Tay looks at your natural hair and density before recommending a method and length.
Her installation service includes a blending haircut, styling and guidance on caring for the hair at home. The appointment carries the look through to the finish and the days that follow.
Tay will speak up if a requested weight, length or technique puts too much stress on your natural hair. She will recommend another route toward the look. “For me, extensions should enhance the hair—not put unnecessary stress on it.”
The extension repertoire
Tay works across nine method families. She can draw on individual strands, weft systems and removable extensions when planning a change with you.
Your natural hair, your routine and your idea for the look guide the choice.
05 / Your appointment
Bring the photograph you keep coming back to. The length you have been curious about. The change you are ready to make. Tay will talk it through with you and work out where to begin.
