Bring photos of the result you want, and talk through what is possible with your own hair.
How you sleep, train, wash and style your hair should be part of the conversation.
Ask about maintenance appointments and the total cost over time.
Look for examples with a similar texture, density and starting length.
Leave with clear advice on brushing, washing, products and when to book your next visit.

Pricing depends on the artist, method, amount of hair and desired length. Ask for a quote that includes hair, installation and ongoing maintenance, and confirm any consultation fee before booking.
An artist should assess your hair and scalp, discuss your goals, and explain the suitability, risks and upkeep of their recommended approach.
Installation and maintenance schedules vary by method and by your hair. Your artist can explain when you will need a move-up or removal, and when the extension hair will need replacing.
Talk to an extension specialist about your density and the result you want. Ask to see their work on similar hair and how they would choose the weight and placement.
